Cherry Poke Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 (3.5oz) Señor Rico® Cherry Gelatin Snack Packs
  • white cake mix
  • 2/3 cup maraschino cherries
  • (12 oz) whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Mix cake ingredients as directed. Cut maraschino cherries in half an place them in the bottom of the cake pan. Pour cake batter on top. Bake as directed.
  2. Let cake cool till room temperature. Poke finger size holes in cake.
  3. Heat cherry gelatin a medium bowl in microwave for 20 seconds. Let it cool for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour gelatin into holes. Place in refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
  5. Use whipped topping to frost the cake. Serve.
