Toasted Coconut & Whipped Flan Puff Pastry Cups

Looking for a decadent way to end your night? Toasted Coconut and Whipped Flan Pastry cups are an elegant dessert that is as good as it looks!

Ingredients

  • 1 (4 pack) Señor Rico® Caramel Flan
  • pre-made puff pastry dough
  • coconut
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat over to 425˚.
  2. Thaw dough as instructed
  3. Take two different size circle cookie cutters.
  4. Use the larger cutter to cut as many circles out of the dough as possible.
  5. Stake circles three tall and use the smaller cutter to cut 3/4 of the way through the dough.
  6. Brush pastry with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15 min. Than let cool for 5 min, than remove center.
  8. Toast coconut in the oven for 5-10 min.
  9. Empty flan into a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth in texture.
  10. Spoon flan into pastry, garnish with toasted coconut.
