Rice Pudding Stuffed French Toast
Product Used: Señor Rico® Rice Pudding
Wake up to this decadent French toast filled with creamy rice pudding and topped with warm maple syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 8oz container of Señor Rico® Rice Pudding
- 1 loaf of French bread cut into 1.5 inch thick slices
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- ¾ cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Butter or oil for frying
- Maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the bread by cutting a pocket into each slice.
- Fill pocket with about 2 tablespoons of Señor Rico® Rice Pudding and press each slice closed.
- In a shallow dish, whisk half and half, eggs, cinnamon and sugar together until combined.
- Place filled bread into egg mixture, turning to coat each slice.
- Heat oil or butter in large nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Place bread in pan and cook until golden, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Serve with warm maple syrup.
