Caramel Flan Donut Hole Trifle
Product Used: Señor Rico® Caramel Flan
Cream-filled donuts are awesome, so turn them into an epic layered dessert. Layers of sweet and creamy custard pudding made from Señor Rico® Caramel Flan, light and airy whipped topping, and sugary glazed donut holes come together to make the perfect crowd-pleasing trifle.
Ingredients
- 48 oz Señor Rico® Caramel Flan (two 6/8 oz unit packs)
- 24 oz (16 oz tub + 8 oz tub) whipped topping, thawed and divided
- 2 packages (about 6 oz each) donut holes
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, un-mold Señor Rico® Caramel Flan. Using an electric mixer, beat flan until smooth. Add 8oz (1 cup) of whipped topping. Beat until smooth. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour until set.
- In a large trifle dish, start with a layer of flan pudding on the bottom. Press a layer of donut holes into it. Top with a layer of whipped topping.
- Repeat with another layer of pudding and whipped topping. Add a layer of donut holes on top. Top with whipped topping. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
