Cinnamon Leaves with Rice Pudding

Serve these fall inspired cinnamon tortilla leaves with Señor Rico® Rice Pudding for a traditional family dessert.

Ingredients and Supplies

  • Señor Rico® Rice Pudding
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 flour tortillas
  • leaf-shaped cookie cutters
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Use leaf-shaped cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the tortillas.
  2. Mix sugar with cinnamon on a plate.
  3. Pour enough oil into a skillet to fry tortilla leaves, about ½ inch deep, and heat. Fry leaves in oil until light golden brown on each side. While still warm dredge in cinnamon sugar to coat.
  4. Dip cinnamon leaves in Señor Rico rice pudding or serve as a side.
